Verify materials received are correct and damage free as well as monitoring stock levels to ensure availability for assembly and production.  Works well with different levels of management and plant supervisors as well as employees. Support Kanban and ERP systems

 

What you will be doing

  • Inspect all incoming material to ensure it is correct, defect and damage free
  • Report all damaged or defective materials to Quality Manager or Plant Manager
  • Pull materials and supplies listed on work orders/move tickets and delivers them to appropriate workstations or other locations
  • Load and unload all materials for the saw shop
  • Transfer finished goods into warehouse at time of arrival
  • Maintain quality and quantity levels, while identifying areas of improvement
  • Keep raw materials organized
  • Some lifting required, up to 50 pounds
  • Support other departments by executing inventory adjustments and physical deliveries
  • Monitor stock levels and re-order via Kanban cards as needed
  • Maintain excellent communication with other department members
  • Consistently work on process improvement
  • Maintains warehouse vehicles and equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use
  • Report damage or mechanical problems to the Maintenance department
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Implement Kanban systems where needed
  • Other duties as assigned

About you

Education: High School Diploma or GED 

Experience: One to three years related experience.

Skills/Abilities: Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with personnel in all departments.

Computer literacy and excellent organizational skills are necessary.

Must have forklift operators certificate.
