To verify materials received are correct and damage free. This position is responsible for keeping materials organized to elevate accuracy and make sure there is a smooth flow of Kanban system. Ensure the product received is accurate. Work well with different levels of management, plant supervisors and employees.
What you will be doing
- Inspect all incoming material to ensure it is correct, defect and damage free
- Report all damaged or defective materials to Quality Manager
- Enter all receipts into ERP system
- Load and unload all materials
- Keep materials well organized
- Monitor stock levels and re-order via Kanban cards as needed
- Maintain excellent communication with other department members
- Record entry of Kanban activity into ERP system
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Report on consumption activity levels
- Some lifting required, up to 50 pounds
- Operate hand trucks, forklifts and electric cart as needed
- Consistently work on process improvement
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results
- Implement Kanban systems
- Other duties as assigned
About you
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Minimum three years related experience.
Skills/Abilities: Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with personnel in all departments. Computer literacy and excellent organizational skills are necessary. Must have forklift operators certificate.
