About the role

The Controller, ICW, leads the Finance function in all areas including cost accounting, general accounting, credit and collections, accounts payable, and Information Technology departments.  This includes maximizing the return on assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems, as well as oversight of cost and general accounting, receivables/collection, payables and the annual budgeting process. This position reports directly to the ICW Business Manager and has a dotted line to the Finance Manager of TouchPoint Medical.

What you will be doing

Reporting and Control:

  • Responsible for internal controls throughout the business ensuring we have the right control environment and adhere to US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Drive the implementation and ensure compliance with key Global TouchPoint Group policies and processes in the areas of Credit Control and Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, Reserves, Capital Expenditure and General Ledger management.
  • Supports the TouchPoint Finance team in their management of the TouchPoint treasury, controlling, audit, tax and statutory functions as they relate to ICW. Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly consolidated management reports for use by business leaders; explain key cost and revenue drivers; develop and report on key financial indicators (KPIs) across the business vs. prior year and budget.
  • Oversee periodic inventory cycle counting and ERP system updates.
  • Oversee monthly accounting and maintenance of the books and records for ICW, including balance sheet account reconciliations. Facilitate the preparation of forecast, operating and capital budgets; monitor changes and analyze assumptions.

 

Business Support and Analysis:

  • Work with several senior stakeholders across the company conducting detailed analysis to help drive profitable growth and process improvement.
  • Proactively review cost reduction and performance optimization opportunities in all areas of the business (product pricing, material purchases, lead time, inventory, quality, productivity, etc.).
  • Drive working capital improvements through high quality analysis and strong controls.
  • Conduct financial analysis in support of sales and management to ensure profit margins are well understood and maximized.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the team of finance professionals aligned with our core values.
  • As a key member of the Leadership team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and engineering.
  • Educate and explain financial data to business leaders to ensure key business decisions are supported by strong financial analysis.
  • Help to drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Lead change management initiatives for ERP implementation by developing and executing strategies to drive adoption and process discipline.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree required in accounting or related field.
  • CPA/Equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in accounting/finance, with some years in a manufacturing setting with demonstrable leadership responsibilities.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Excel.  A working knowledge of SQL reporting.
  • Experience in preparing detailed analysis to understand the driving factors of profitability.
  • Ability to explain financial concepts to finance and non-finance professionals.
  • Experience of working in an ERP based business environment.
