About the role

Are you a passionate and curious engineering student seeking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment? We are looking for a talented Engineering Co-Op to join our team at Southco. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to real-world projects, and gain valuable insights into the entire product development lifecycle. 

What you will be doing

  • Assist engineers in various aspects of the product development process, including design, prototyping, and testing. 
  • Gain experience with different tools and technologies relevant to your engineering discipline (e.g., CAD software, simulation tools, testing equipment). 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to project development. 
  • Conduct research and analyze data to support engineering decisions. 
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.

About you

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Computer) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
  • Eager to learn and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering challenges. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
