Overview:

This position is to take the lead in new product development field in NPD. It requires wide range of detail-oriented knowledge and skill. Should have ability to obtain support from all resources available in different Southco facilities to fulfill tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and communicate with project leaders and designers as well as all related resources to introduce new products into mass production.

2. Take ownership to assign new projects, handle cost estimate, prototyping, initial production, business system setup, and problem solving

3. Provide related tech instruction to teammates as to new project development. Assist NPD manager to improve team capability.

4. Make sure the tooling, equipment, fixtures, BOM, WI, Flow chart etc are ready before release to mass production  

5. Train operators on the production processes of the new products and assure the quality and safety. 

How you will be making an impact

About you

1. Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Mechanical Automation is preferred.       

2. Engineer Certificate preferred.

3. Good knowledge and practice of tooling/fixture, or mechanism design and development.

4. A good team player with good interpersonal skills. Good problem solving skills.

5. Minimum 5 years’ working experience in new product development field. Experienced in PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, etc. Can coordinate manufacturing projects to achieve the objectives. 

6. Good Understanding of manufacturing process in Design for Assembly, Design for Manufacturing Concept etc.

7. Good English skill in reading and writing, speaking skill preferred.
