What you will be doing

Role Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage all new business leads in order to identify and target new business opportunities.  Follow up on all customer inquiries directed towards the Customer Service Department related to product design. 
  • Engage customers throughout the product design cycle, providing technical and commercial support.
  • Work with the Southco business development team (Customer Service, Account Managers, Marketing) to ensure optimal management of new business opportunities.  This includes coordinating and conducting onsite customer visits and product seminars.
  • Provide product design assistance to both internal and external customers.
  • Utilize gap analysis and order pattern recognition tools to identify order trend variances and proactively engage customers to mitigate potential lost business scenarios.
  • Partake in ongoing self-development by identifying focus areas within your current role or opportunities to advance personal career ladder. 

About you

Location:

  • Applicants must be based in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
  • Travel is required (estimate 1 week per quarter)

 

Experience & Skills Needed:

  • 3-5 Years of work experience in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, and Microsoft Suite
  • Basic understanding of CAD
