About the role
The Sales Support Specialist will work closely with the Key Account Managers, Sales Mangers, and Southco Distribution channels (including Authorized Southco Distributors, unauthorized distributors & e-catalog distributors), to facilitate business management activities. The individual will be responsible for the administration of the Partners for Growth program, regional Resale processing and pricing support for both direct and distribution sales, data reporting and analysis, inventory management (CSS Forms), and forecasting.
In this role the Sales Support Specialist will closely liaise with its global counterparts to ensure that the business processes address the specific needs of each region while maintaining global consistency. The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing sales reports and dashboards within the CRM system to ensure global consistency and accuracy and provide training around our business processes for new hires.
What you will be doing
- Provide sales support to the business unit including the following:
- Create and track customers performance metrics and OEM tracking with Sales Management input.
- Ensure proper commission coding of OEM business globally. This position owns the coding process regionally.
- Provide KAMs and Sales Managers with the proper sales reports/analysis.
- New hires orientation training around coding, sales reporting and CRM best practices.
2. Manage the activities related to Authorized Southco Distributors and the Partners for Growth program. This includes data compilation and dissemination of ASD Scorecards, calculation of incentive payments and maintenance of all data records relating to the program, processing and data integrity of distributor Resale data. Includes, but not limited to, managing the Resale database and data input from each ASD, ensuring proper KA/nKA coding, analyzing Resale customer performance and SFDC data as needed.
3. Facilitate contract pricing change requests including “meet comp” or applications under competitive attack, provide pertinent data to Sales Management for decision making purposes. Manage pricing agreements associated with Distribution accounts. Enter and maintain Opportunities in SFDC linked to Meet-comp and new business opportunities initiated by ASD’s.
4. Support of the S&OP (Sales & Operational Planning) process through the management of inventory levels for customer safety stock/non-stocked parts in line with customer demands and forecasts. In addition, work with the sales team to manage the effective EOL of custom items in the CRM.
About you
- A minimum of 2-4 years work experience preferably within an industrial, technical sales or customer service background.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical subject preferred, or equivalent level of work experience.
- Demonstrate ability to take initiative.
- Extensive knowledge of the Southco business system and internal processes.
- Ability to work independently and flexible.
- Good communicator with excellent presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
