About the role
This position is responsible for producing components from a variety of operations (auto and manual booths, masking, burn off, etc.). The associate is expected to always follow standard work and follow through with instructions provided from their Powder Coat Shooter.
Compensation: $17-$19
What you will be doing
- Responsible to assist in setting up the line and using the appropriate control plan, blue print, Auto Booth/ Manual Booth sheet, job router, and work instructions,. Perform set-up tasks per set standard of the business system. Verify the status of the quality documents, parts and racks before beginning the set-up process.
- Assist in maintaining the quality, quantity and standard work procedures throughout the Powder Coating area. Demonstrate the ability to proficiently rack and basic visual inspection of the various parts related to the powder coat process. Perform associated Powder Coat operations, work assignments from supervisor and flex to work in areas of constraint, such as Die Cast secondary, Assembly, etc.
- Assist with Preventative Maintenance (PM) functions, per instructions from the Powder Coat Shooter.
- Responsible to maintain excellent housekeeping practices (5S).
- Performing the burn off, power washing of racks
About you
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 33lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift
- Good verbal communication, flexibility, willing to do physical work.
- Safety and quality conscious
- Basic computer skills preferred.
