About the role

Perform Cleaning and Tumbling Operations per work instructions and quality documents in support of other departments  to meet internal and external customer expectations. Additionally, provide support to the facility by maintaining regulatory compliance when operating the Waste Water Treatment (WWT) system and handling Hazardous materials/waste.

 

Compensation: $21.00-$26.00

What you will be doing

  • Process parts with media, compound and water as required for variety of products according to process sheets; adjust speeds for proper processing
  • Separate parts and media as required using hoist, separator screens, etc.
  • Monitor, adjust and requisition supplies of media, etc. as conditions warrant.
  • Startup, operate and shutdown all cleaning and finishing machinery in a safe manner.
  • Perform passivating, phosphating, dipping and cleaning operations per specifications of the business system.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures as specified by the standard work including replenishing of chemical tanks. 
  • Perform operator level maintenance on all equipment and notify supervisor and/or maintenance personnel of equipment malfunction.
  • Pre-treat parts for finishing as required.
  • Dispose of used, spent or contaminated materials into properly labeled containers for disposal.
  • Start up, operate and shutdown the facility WWT (Waste Water Treatment) system per work instructions.
  • Perform all necessary tests for proper operation of the WWT System and troubleshoot/remedy all nonconforming readings.
  • Maintain proper inventory of all chemicals and replacement parts for the WWT system.
  • Respond to and take proper action to all  WWT incidents in the facility.

About you

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs repeatedly, potentially up to 5,000 lbs per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Working in a hot climate with changing conditions.
  • Safety and Quality Conscious
  • Basic computer skills
  • SAP knowledge preferred
  • Ability to count using scales and measuring machines
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes
