About the role
The position is responsible for the effective provision of functional support on the complete range of HRD activities within the Worcester facility in line with European and Global HRD strategy, including recruitment, employee relations, reward, CSR and projects. The position is responsible for handling the day-to-day activities, administering, implementing and monitoring human resource programs to the highest professional standards and in line with the Southco cultural values and core behaviours.
What you will be doing
- ADMINISTRATION - Ensure that all personal information & files are maintained and updated using the HR systems and utilize the system to produce accurate HR reporting information in relation to headcount and KPI detail. Work with Reward to process all changes in employee status, pay and benefits either directly or via payroll.
- EMPLOYEE RELATIONS - Provides advice, guidance and support to all employees to aide problem resolution using appropriate procedures. Acts as a reference point for dealing with employee and management queries on a range of employee relations issues e.g. grievance, discisplinary. Manages grievance and disciplinary issues up to and including dismissal level in conjunction with line Managers as required. Performs an active role in the on-site communication processes, develops and coordinates communication initiatives and facilitates group reviews, meetings and activities as required.
- RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - Assists and supports in the recruitment of approved open positions in accordance with the manpower plan. Performs an active role in the recruitment and selection process, including liaison with recruitment agencies and consultants. Assists Managers with CV screening, conducting interviews for all positions and coordinates and implements psychometric testing as appropriate. Organises the introduction process for new employees into the organisation including effective implementation of induction programmes in conjunction with the hiring manager.
- REWARD -Work with the Reward Manager to participate in wellbeing and CSR schemes taking place throughout the year. Answer routine benefits queries for managers and employees, assisting with problems where necessary.
- POLICY DEVELOPMENT - Assist with the prepration and implementation of all HRD policies and procedures and maintain a working knowledge of employment legislation.
- PROJECTS - Undertakes tasks, assignments, and projects in support of the European and Global HRD strategy and business objectives as required.
- GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT - Organise and book internal and external training courses for employees, ensuring that all relevant paperwork is completed and records updated in line with Company policies and IATF16949 requirements..
How you will be making an impact
About you
- Completed or working towards completion of Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
- Minimum of 3 Years experience within a HR Function
- Good interpersonal and communication skills essential.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Computer literate in Microsoft office
